About the Journal

Ife Journal of Arts and Social Science Education (IJASSE) is published twice a year (June and December) by the Department of Arts and Social Science Education, Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.

The journal's aim is to publish worthwhile, well written, original and prized articles which utilize quantitative, qualitative and/or mixed methods research in the field of arts, humanities and social science (AHS) education. Such articles could be aligned to the following under-listed topics and related ones:

instructional strategies for teaching AHS subjects at the primary, secondary and tertiary education levels

Use of AI and technologies for teaching in the AHS disciplines

Assessment and evaluation of learning in the AHS disciplines

Curriculum planning and development in the AHS disciplines

Textbook development, use and evaluation in the AHS disciplines

Teacher education in the AHS disciplines and such other thematic areas related to instructional effectiveness in these disciplines

 

The journal through this medium calls far submission of articles for publication in its first volume and issue (Volume 1, Issue 1) in honour of its pioneer head and Professor of Curriculum Studies and Language Education - Professor Yetunde Adedoyin Ajibade (1960-2023).
