Ife Journal of Arts and Social Science Education

IJASSE aim is to publish worthwhile, well written, original and prized articles which utilize quantitative, qualitative and/or mixed methods research in the field of arts, humanities and social science (AHS) education. Such articles could be aligned to the following under-listed topics and related ones:

• instructional strategies for teaching AHS subjects at the primary, secondary and tertiary education levels
• Use of AI and technologies for teaching in the AHS disciplines
• Assessment and evaluation of learning in the AHS disciplines
• Curriculum planning and development in the AHS disciplines
• Textbook development, use and evaluation in the AHS disciplines
• Teacher education in the AHS disciplines and such other thematic areas related to instructional effectiveness in these disciplines

The journal through this medium calls far submission of articles for publication in its first volume and issue (Volume 1, Issue 1) in honour of its pioneer head and Professor of Curriculum Studies and Language Education - Professor Yetunde Adedoyin Ajibade (1960-2023).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL AUTHORS

All manuscripts should be written in good English Language. The manuscript should be typed using Microsoft Word, Times New Roman, Font 12 for the body of the text and Font 14 for the headings, and sub-headings, one and half (1.5) line spaced and in A4 set up. It should not be more than 15 pages, including references.

All manuscripts submitted to IJASSE must be original manuscripts and should not have been submitted to another journal at the time of submitting them to IJASSE Manuscripts submitted to IJASSE will first be checked for similarity using anti-plagiarism software. Only manuscripts that passed this stage will be processed further. The acceptable similarity index threshold is 20%.

The cover page should include the paper title, author(s) names, institutional affiliation, e-mail address(es) and phone numbers of the authors.

The main manuscript should also have the title of the article/research followed by the abstract which should not be more than 250 words. Five keywords should be specified after the abstract.

Tables, figures, graphs and diagrams should be legible and should be embedded in the main body of the work where they are applicable. They should be appropriately numbered with a short title.

The 7th edition of the American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style should be used.

All accepted papers by UASSE have their copyrights transferred to IJASSE.

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS

• Authors should forward their papers electronically to ijasse@oauife.edu.ng and forward a copy to ijasseoau@gmail.com. 
• Each paper should be accompanied with a non-refundable assessment fees of Five thousand naira only (N5,000).
• Upon acceptance of the manuscripts, Authors shall pay a publication fees of N30,000 (Thirty thousand naira only).

IMPORTANT DATES

• Submission of Manuscripts: May 15, 2024 - June 14, 2024
• Notification of acceptance or otherwise: July 1, 2024 - July 12, 2024
• Re-submission of accepted paper (corrected version) and payment of publication fees: July 15, 2024 - July 31, 2024
